COVID-19 update : ICDL Ireland is aware that the evolving situation in relation to Coronavirus COVID-19 is having a very real impact on your work as an ICDL tutor / teacher and we appreciate the work you are putting in to keep your students engaged. We encourage you to keep your candidates motivated, urging them to continue with their eLearning and assessing their progress with diagnostic tests. We have placed links on the learner page to assist students in setting up their machine so they can continue with these diagnostic tests

CERTIFICATION TESTS: A number of you have asked about Certification exams and how they should be conducted going forward. We have worked with the ICDL Foundation and a number of centres to come up with a practical solution to enable exams take place remotely. Below you will find the guidelines for remote invigilation. In brief: your candidates must have performed a diagnostic test at home, you must invite ICDL Ireland to your first session and no more than 3 candidates at any one time.

ICDL Digital Certs are now available

We would like to draw your attention to the new process for obtaining ICDL certificates for your candidates. Currently, it is not possible to print and deliver paper certificates to your school or centre due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Candidates now receive an online eCert on passing their first ICDL module. The eCert is then automatically updated every time a candidate passes an exam. Candidates can download their ICDL eCert and share their success on social media. eCerts appear in the candidates’ profile tab, when they login.

You can view eCerts issued to your candidates – go to the Certificates page in your portal, select a class and look at the Download Certs tab. You can still order and approve certificates the normal way but it is unlikely that we will be able to provide paper certs until early 2021.
